Sand‑cast pump bodies, also known as sand‑cast pump housings, are primary pressure‑bearing pump components manufactured by sand casting. This process is well‑suited for medium‑to‑large‑size pump housings with complex internal flow channels. Compared with investment lost‑wax casting, sand casting brings obvious cost benefits for heavy‑duty pump parts in medium‑large batch production, and it is widely used for general‑purpose industrial pumps.

- Grey cast iron (HT200, HT250): Cost‑effective, good vibration‑damping property. Mainly for clean‑water pumps and circulating pumps.
- Ductile iron (QT400‑18, QT500‑7): Higher tensile strength and pressure resistance, applied for heavy‑duty industrial pump equipment.
- Carbon cast steel WCB: For high‑temperature and high‑pressure service conditions.
- Ni‑Resist alloy iron: For sewage and mildly corrosive chemical media.
